Delete account & data

You have the right to delete your account and all related data at any time ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17 GDPR). Two options:

Option A – Directly in the app (recommended, immediate)

1. Open Shroomtastic and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Privacy.
3. Tap "Delete account & data".
4. Confirm by typing your name and tap "Permanently delete".

This permanently and irrevocably removes: your profile (name, email, picture), all finds incl. photos, notes and GPS coordinates, all community-shared images and feed posts, all forum posts, comments and likes, your identification history, friendships, push tokens as well as achievements, quests and XP history.

Option B – By email request

Alternatively, send an informal deletion request to privacy@mycodex.app. Include the email address registered with Shroomtastic. Requests are processed within 30 days.

What happens to your data?

Your data is fully removed from our systems. Individually shared community images are also removed or anonymised. No data is retained beyond the deletion — except data we are legally required to keep (e.g. statutory retention obligations), where applicable.
